Contribute to Siemens Building Technologies product development by ensuring that quality and integrity of the product is aligned in all development phases and for all releases of a software product. This will be done by planning and performing of all needed test activities, preferably with automated tests. This requires a close collaboration with the development team, as the test has to be started right from the start.

This position is for an engineer who likes challenges and is constantly striving to improve product quality and customer satisfaction with innovative test solutions.

Your new responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing features and implementation of the requisite test scripts
  • Run functional, performance and integration tests for Software Product ABT (Engineering Tool for Building Automation)
  • Implement and maintain automated tests
  • Design test specifications based on requirement specifications
  • Defining and maintaining test environment
  • Defect tracking and reporting
  • Conforming to Siemens processes, quality standards and guideline

Your skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a software related discipline
  • Experience in automation of tests (Basic scripting skills; SpecFlow, Visual Studio, Urban code)
  • Experience with an agile environment following Scrum and SAFe methodologies
  • Experienced working in a multi-dimensional, international and multi-cultural organization
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good presentation and communication skills in English and German
  • Familiarity with test planning and test specification
  • Experience with quality engineering and test automation tools and processes
