Our client is a Swiss Private Bank in Zurich, they are going through a large growth process and are looking to take on a new operations officer with experience in settlements and corporate actions.



  • Booking, settling and monitoring of security transactions LGZ ensure the timely settlements
  • Monitoring of any erroneous transactions (cancellations, corrections, etc.)
  • Investigation of overdue settlements and pending trades, reconciliation differences (cash and securities)
  • Handling of enquiries
  • Transfer client positions free of payment (incoming and outgoing)
  • Cash management of custodian balances
  • Collecting Corp. Action Information from Custodian
  • Review daily swift , identify (mandatory and voluntary events) and investigate Corp. Action with the use market information
  • For voluntary events, analyse, prepare announcement letter for the clients showing important details, and distribute by email to the related departments..
  • Analyze / Monitor incoming Corp. Action information and process event / proceeds
  • Identifying actual/potential instances of non-compliance with regulations and when appropriate, reporting them to the relevant authority and inform the related department
  • Check cash and securities reconciliation breaks after reconciliation of custody account


  • Knowledge of and familiarity with settlement operations and trade processing of equities and debt securities in all markets
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with in Corporate Action events and related regulations involved
  • Good operational knowledge of financial products and their settlement processes
  • Good understanding of reconciliation of trades and security-transfers
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Access) and experience using Swift
  • Knowledge of banking applications, possibly also Bloomberg, Telekurs, CreationOnline (Clearstream) and GTExchange/GTMatch is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of both German and English. Any other language is a value added
