The mission

For almost 75 years, our client distributes speciality chemicals of renowned international partners in Switzerland. The Industry Manager Switzerland is responsible for all commercial decisions and for the development of the significant market position as well as for the optimizing of the efficient sales processes. This position also supports the innovative, customer-oriented development of products and services and significantly shapes the corporate culture as well as the company's external reputation. The origin of the task is the marketing of quality, functionality and uniqueness. Added value is the client' s goal.

Your Responsibilities

  • Growing the business with existing and new customers and suppliers in the segments adhesives, sealants, coatings (responsible for sales, budget, prices, margin)
  • Coordinating all commercial and technical customer issues
  • Fostering the innovation process to reach added value for our customers
  • Helping shape customer-oriented, innovative and unique solutions
  • Developing of efficient sales strategies
  • Optimizing operational implementation of sales tasks in day-to-day business
  • Developing and maintaining a network of internal and external experts
  • Monitoring / Analysing market to derive relevant ideas/trends for sales
  • Risk management through the recognition of future opportunities / dangers
  • Positioning the company as an innovative, trustworthy brand with extremely high quality and functionality requirements

Your skills

  • Chemical background, experienced in international trade chemicals / raw materials and with laws / legislations
  • High willingness to travel within Switzerland
  • Native German speaker. Exceptional English and French skills
  • Degree in chemistry with a sales-oriented further education
  • Minimum of three years experienced in a similar expert role, technical knowledge
  • Sales oriented, team oriented, well organized
